TAKE THEM BACK!
I’m learning more and more that we allow what other people think and feel to place us in headspaces that weren’t meant for us. If your friend has a fallout with a person, that is their drama and dysfunction. If your co-workers are freaking out about a project, that is not your anxiety to bear.
We take the idea of bearing each others burdens to unhealthy limits when we fail to recognize the importance of balance. Being in balance does not look like undue pressure to perform for the sake of making others happy or comfortable. God actually provides rest for that.
Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.
Matthew 11:-30
If you are not careful you will end up burdened by things never meant for you and pressured by that which you were not equipped to handle. You will wake up one day bent out of shape harboring feelings of resentment for people who you felt the need to show up for in an unhealthy way.
